Title: Maple seed

Description: Maple fruits carry and disperse the seeds at a considerable distance by the wind twirling wildly as they fall to the ground. As a kid, we used to catch these whirlybirds and attached them on our noses for amusement. Now, instead of making funny noses out of it, I photographed the beautifully colored wing of the seed trough a foldscope at 140x magnification.
